His Unique Claims

Matthew 5:17- He claimed he would be the fulfillment of the Law.

Matthew 7:21-23- claims he will be the judge of all men.

Matthew 7:24-27- claims you will rise or fall on your response to Him

Matthew 9:1-6- claims power to forgive sin.

Matthew 16: 15-17- accepts the idea that He is the Son of God.

Matthew 24:30-31 claims He will come back in power.

Mark 14:60-64- "I Am" (the Christ, the Son of the Blessed).

John 8:54-58- "before Abraham was, I Am".

John 10:28-30- " I and the Father are one."

John 14:6 & 8-10- "I am the way..."anyone who has seen me has seen the Father."

No other great religious teacher in history made these kinds of claims.

Question: What choices or alternatives do we have in the face of such claims?

Jesus was either (a) a liar, (b) a lunatic, or (c) the Son of God as he claimed.

Question: In the context of His great teachings and unselfish life, which of these is most reasonable?
